The Glasgow Film Festival, or GFF, is one of the biggest film festivals in Scotland or the UK, and is, in my opinion, the best.
It was started in 2005 by the good people at Glasgow Film Theatre, and has grown to include the CCA, Cineworld, and many more. It is visited by tens of thousands of people every year, and features World and UK premieres, often introduced by the stars that made them.
Movies are shown from all over the world. Catch first-time features from new directors, cult favourites as you’ve never seen them, and independent films it might be your only chance to see in the cinema.
What makes GFF the best though, is the atmosphere. A welcoming, positive celebration of the diversity of film and filmmakers, made for the viewing audience and open to everyone.
Come along and see the miracle in your back yard!
